Portsmouth Man Arrested for Drunk Driving – Again: Log

Police: New York man charged with receiving stolen property while a Dover man faces a drug charge.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Gyalthar Tsering, 35, of 59th Street in Woodside, NY, was arrested at 10:40 p.m. on Aug. 15, 2016, and charged with receiving stolen property. Police were sent to Grafton Drive for a report of a woman filing a complaint with staffers that a man had stolen all her money. Officers arrived and investigated the matter and requested a Mandarin Chinese translator. Tsering was later arrested.

Portsmouth Fire and Rescue teams were sent to Dwight Avenue at 7:03 a.m. on Aug. 16, 2016, for an unintended death of a woman.

Aaron J. Kowalewski, 35, of River Street in Amesbury, MA, was arrested at 5:15 p.m. on Aug. 8, 2016, for conduct after an accident and operating without a valid license. He was arrested by Salem Police.

Matthew A. Roderick, 32, of Plaza Drive in Dover, was arrested at 5:36 p.m. on Aug. 8, 2016, for possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and a bench warrant. He was arrested after a traffic stop on Islington Street.

Ballard J. Mattingly, 59, of Rock Street in Portsmouth, was arrested at 7:45 p.m. on Aug. 8, 2016, for aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated, and conduct after an accident. Police were sent to a two-vehicle crash at Elwyn Road and Lafayette Road where on vehicle reportedly fled the scene. A partial plate and description of the vehicle was reported to police. A witness followed the vehicle to Odion State Park and stated that the vehicle had passengers, according to the report. Police found the vehicle on Rock Street. After field sobriety tests, Mattingly was arrested.

Jeffrey Howard, 63, of an unknown address in Portsmouth, was arrested at 2:13 p.m. on Aug. 7, 2016, for theft of services. He was arrested by Nashua Police.
