Portsmouth Police Traffic Update

PORTSMOUTH, NH - According to the Portsmouth Police, extensive overhaul being done by the Portsmouth Fire Department at the Portsmouth Gaslight Company due to a four alarm fire that is NOW under control.

Traffic in the area is being diverted around the scene so please try to avoid this area if possible.

Market Street inbound traffic is being diverted up Deer Street. Inbound Hanover Street traffic is being diverted down Fleet Street. No traffic is allowed on Bow Street at all.

As more information becomes available, police will let everyone know.

Update, 2:11 p.m. All Portsmouth streets have reopened.
