Portsmouth Police Log: Crash on Borthwick Avenue Leads to DWI Charge

Plus, Maine man busted for allegedly throwing contraband out his vehicle window before traffic stop.

David R. Connell, 50, unknown address in Portsmouth, was arrested at 12:37 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2015, for duty to inform. He turned himself in to police.

Jeffrey R. LeBlanc, 55, of Route 1 in York, ME, was arrested at 3:34 p.m. on Aug. 31, for falsifying physical evidence, possession of controlled/narcotic drugs, and possession of drugs in a motor vehicle. He was arrested after an incident on State Street. Police allege that LeBlanc threw items out of his vehicle window before being stopped. A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up evidence to the charges and a search warrant was applied for and received. K-9 units were also sent to the area where the alleged items were tossed out of the vehicle resulting in negative results, according to a report.

Deborah A. Anderson, 65, of Ocean Boulevard in Rye, was arrested at 12:11 p.m. on Sept. 2, for driving while intoxicated after crashing over an embankment on Borthwick Avenue.

Gabriel Velez Ramos, 42, of Green Street in Somersworth, was arrested at 2:47 p.m. on Sept. 2, on a warrant.
