Portsmouth Police Seek Tips In Possible 'Flim-Flam' Scam Case

PORTSMOUTH, NH — A candy and ice cream shop in downtown Portsmouth was hit with a theft incident Tuesday, according to police. The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. at Kilwins and involved the man in the photo, according to the Portsmouth Police Department's Facebook site.

"A flim-flam scam is when an individual uses confusion or a similar tactic in an attempt to steal money from another, in this case, a cashier," police said on Facebook.
