Program Description
Details
Parents and guardians are almost always the most significant influence on the messages and values related to sexuality topics that children and youth will receive. Whether intentional or not, through action or inaction, through speaking for silence, kids are constantly learning about relationships, body awareness, decision making, respect, expression, and so much more.
When we understand the breadth of how topics related to sexuality relate to every aspect of our long lives, beginning before birth, we can move past a model of the dreaded one-and-done “talk” about sex, and toward a model of frequent, digestible conversations and habits that foster healthy and fulfilling lives.

We will look at the expansiveness of the topic of sexuality, how to navigate sex ed with children and youth of any age, and resources for being a supportive, approachable caregiver.
Librarians will be on hand with book recommendations!

They are FREE and can be attended ANONYMOUSLY because they’re held in webinar format. Registration is required, but your information will only be used to send a Zoom link.
