Program Description

Details

Visit Portsmouth Public Library’s Levenson Community room for Racial Unity Team’s exhibit of the results from its third annual Art & Poetry Challenge to New Hampshire and Maine seacoast communities. In response to Amanda Gorman's inaugural poem, The Hill We Climb, exhibitors are sharing their understanding of racial inclusion and equity.

On Saturday, September 18 from 2 to 4 PM, stop by for a reception in under the tent in the field beside the library, with conversation and refreshments.

A Virtual Tour will be available for those who cannot attend on location. Stay tuned for more information!

Prizes in four categories - elementary, middle, high school and adult - made possible by the generous sponsorship of New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, Kennebunk Savings, RiverWoods Exeter, and Cambridge Trust, as well as individual donors.

Racial Unity Team’s mission is to advance relationships among people of different racial identities, increase understanding, and reduce racial bias in our communities. For more about their work, please visit racialunityteam.com.
