City Chat: Mayor Chuck Grassie to host Public Engagement Hour on 9/25 (rochesternh.gov) — Rochester residents are invited to join Mayor Chuck Grassie for City Chat, a monthly public engagement hour at the Rochester Public Library, with the next session on Friday, September 25 at 10 a.m. You can ask questions about city government, share updates from local organizations, and meet officials, or schedule time during the mayor's office hours at City Hall if you can't attend. 
2. There's Still Time to Paint the City of Rochester Blue for National Thank a Police Officer Day (rochesternh.gov) — Rochester residents still have time to join the Thank a Rochester Cop campaign by decorating homes and businesses in blue and picking up free supplies at local banks, the Chamber, and Granite Steak & Grill. Students from Spaulding High are helping dress up downtown, while sponsors and businesses are providing gift bags, cookies, and other support to recognize the city's police officers this week.
3. Commission for Arts and Culture Announces 2026 Rochester Arts Awards Winners (rochesternh.gov) — Rochester's arts community is being celebrated with the 2026 Rochester Arts Awards, honoring residents and organizations that bring dance, music, public art, and youth projects to life around town. A public reception at RPAC on North Main Street invites neighbors to recognize contributors like Mud City Clay, Mr. Sippy's BBQ, and local photographer John Gisis for enriching Rochester's cultural scene.
4. Invisible Walls: The collaborative look at the Seacoast (collaborativenh.org) — Rochester is part of a new regional look at how zoning, gentrification, and rising housing costs in Portsmouth are pushing workers and longtime residents into nearby cities like Dover, Rochester, and Somersworth. The series explores commuting patterns, affordability challenges, and how exclusionary rules shape where people can live, including many who now travel from Rochester to jobs on the Seacoast.
