You’ve been hearing a lot recently about the possibility of expanding&nbsp;nuclear energy&nbsp;as a component of energy generation in NH. It’s unclear how or if this may be linked to the possibility of establishing data centers in the state.
On March 26 this year, Gov Ayotte issued an&nbsp;Executive Order&nbsp;(EO-2026-01) decreeing that “the Department of Energy shall prepare a&nbsp;nuclear roadmap&nbsp;for New Hampshire that identifies the steps, milestones, and resources needed to attract, develop, and deploy nuclear generation in New Hampshire…”On&nbsp;Monday, June 22, 5:30pm,&nbsp;NH Network will hold an&nbsp;informational webinar&nbsp;focused on

<ul><li>advanced (“next generation”) nuclear energy</li><li>Small Modular Reactors (SMRs)</li><li>the implications of expanding nuclear energy in NH and New England.</li></ul>
Expert guest speakers will include&nbsp;Dr Ed Lyman&nbsp;of the&nbsp;Union of Concerned Scientists, and one or two others&nbsp;TBA.

Rye Congregational Church

Explore with us the origins of Rye becoming "Rye", with its first meeting house and first selectboard in 1726. 300 years ago. Rye received official parish rights, the first step in becoming an independent town in New Hampshire. Town Historian Alex Herlihy will lead a walk from the Church through the Town Center explaining key areas of this critical development in one of the United States' oldest towns. Please gather at the Church no later than 5pm. The Walk will begin on time. No charge.

Rye Day Returns — Bigger and Better Than Ever!

If you were at Parsons Field three years ago for Rye Day, you know what kind of magic this community can create. The laughter of children splashing through foam, families gathered on lawn chairs as live music filled the summer air, neighbors reconnecting over ice cream - it was one of those days that reminds you exactly why you love living in Rye. This July 4th weekend, we're doing it all over again. And this time, we have even more reason to celebrate.
Welcome to Rye Day 2026, where two extraordinary milestones come together in one unforgettable weekend. This year, we mark 300 years since Rye was founded as a town and 250 years of American independence - a truly once-in-a-lifetime convergence of local pride and national history. What better place to honor both than right here on the green at Parsons Field, surrounded by the neighbors, friends, and families who make this community so special?
The festivities kick off Saturday, July 4th at 11 AM
with a festive community parade marching onto Parsons Field, setting a joyful and patriotic tone for the day ahead. We'll then pause to hear moving tributes that bring to life the remarkable stories behind our nation and our town - the voices, the struggles, and the triumphs that shaped both Rye and America across three centuries. Inspiring, personal, and not to be missed.
Then the real fun begins. From 11 AM to 4:30 PM, Parsons Field transforms into a full-on summer celebration. Kids can meet and pose with Disney characters, get creative at the face painting station, and take on friends in giant lawn games. Local vendors and community organizations fill the grounds with energy and color, while the big stage comes alive with live music all afternoon. And of course - no Fourth of July is complete without Texas BBQ, great American burgers, and ice cream from the trucks lined up and ready to serve.
Then come back Sunday evening, July 5th from 6 to 9:30 PM
for a warm and wonderful close to the weekend - live music drifting across the field, food trucks, community, and that unmistakable Rye summer feeling.
Two days. Two milestones. One town.
