ALDI to Host Hiring 'Blitz' April 14

One of the nation's largest grocery stores is looking to fill 140 positions; apply in person at the Nashua store on Thursday.

NASHUA, NH - The ALDI grocery store chain, which just opened its fourth New Hampshire location in Nashua, is looking to fill 140 store associate positions in New England and New York.

The store will be hosting a hiring event for its New Hampshire and Massachusetts locations from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at the chain’s new Nashua location, located at 270 Amherst St.

According to a press statement, store associate positions start at $12 an hour. The company offers “employees generous wages and benefits that are higher than the national average for the retail industry." Employees that average more than 25 hours a week are eligible for full health insurance benefits and dental coverage, and all employees can participate in a 401(k) program.

Applicants must be 18 or older to apply, must have a high school diploma or GED, and must be available to work between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday through Sunday. Applicants are being asked to have the ability to lift up to 45 lbs. There are also drug screenings and background checks for applicants. Management experience is preferred for the manager trainee positions, according to the company.

Along with Nashua, the chain also has locations in Derry, Plaistow, and Salem, in New Hampshire, and Leominster, Medford, Milford, and Worcester, in Massachusetts, with new locations opening in the next year or two.
