Alleged Salem Strangler Arrested After Domestic Incident: Log

Police: Teens arrested for shoplifting, Tyngsborough man charged with DUI after crash, and man arrested on eight forgery charges.

SALEM, NH — Andrew W. Vaughn, 48, of Cluff Crossing Road in Salem, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. on Aug. 4, 2016, for second-degree assault-domestic violence, strangulation, and domestic violence-simple assault. Police were sent to Brook Village West for a report of a domestic dispute. A man reported to police that a woman and children were locked in a bathroom and she wouldn’t give him the keys to a vehicle. When police arrived and investigated the matter, Vaughn was arrested. The woman requested medical assistance but refused transportation to the hospital, according to a report.

Patrick M. Dicesare, 26, of Scotland Avenue in Salem, was arrested at on Aug. 3, 2016, and charged with willful concealment and breach of bail. Police were sent to Sears at the Mall at Rockingham Park for a report of a shoplifter who reportedly fled the store with $180 worth of merchandise. A K-9 was called to the scene and a suspect vehicle was found leaving the area. Dicesare was arrested, refused bail, and was transported to the Rockingham County House of Corrections.

Leah R. Cournoyer, 19, of Linden Street in Andover, MA, was arrested at 7:38 p.m. on Aug. 2, 2016, for willful concealment after an alleged incident at Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park. Also charged was a 17-year-old girl, who was released on a summons.

Edgardo Rivera, 20, of Lancit Street in Lowell, MA, was arrested at 12:51 a.m. on Aug. 1, 2016, on a bench warrant. He turned himself in to police.

Robert Maguire, 38, of Yeamans Street in Revere, MA, was arrested at 3:33 p.m. on July 31, 2016, for willful concealment, a possession of controlled drug, falsifying physical evidence, and a warrant from an outside agency. He was arrested at the Sunglass Hut at the Mall at Rockingham Park and refused bail.

Tara M. Starr, 25, of Poplar Road in Salem, was arrested at 1:02 p.m. on July 31, 2016, for willful concealment after an alleged shoplifting incident at Walmart on North Broadway. She refused bail.

Christopher A. Caissie, 28, of Greenwood Street in Salem, was arrested at 9:47 a.m. on July 31, 2016, on eight counts of forgery. He turned himself in on a warrant.

Patrick Ruane, 26, of Parham Road in Tyngsborough, MA, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. on July 31, 2016, for driving under the influence and driving under the influence-second or third charge or adult more than .08. Police were sent to Pleasant Street and Trailer Home Drive for a report of a vehicle off the road. Ruane was later arrested.
