Spring Fling Art Show & Sale

The Greater Salem Artists Association (GSAA) hosts its 26th Annual Spring Fling Art Show and Sale on Mother’s Day Weekend at the Woodbury School in Salem, N.H. The show will be dedicated to the late Ken Joncas, a longtime active member of the GSAA and Salem resident.  Mr. Joncas coordinated the Spring Show for six years, working tirelessly to ensure the show was a success each year. He was also a member of the Greater Haverhill Arts Association and the Art Institute Group of the Merrimack Valley. Mr. Joncas passed away in November 2011. The show will include an interactive memorial display devoted to him.

All proceeds of the event will support the GSAA and fund a scholarship for a promising local art student. Each year, a scholarship is awarded at the January monthly meeting.

The free one-day event runs from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12. GSAA artists and their guests will share original paintings, prints and note cards for exhibit and purchase. Those in attendance can watch artists at work and check out the exhibit of paintings offered for competition. Adult and student artists will compete for ribbons and prizes.
