Hit-and-Run Report on I-93 Leads to Warrant Arrest: Salem Police Log

Salem man arrested on assault, other charges, Newton man arrested on DUI, other charges, and teen at wedding party arrested on pot charge.

SALEM, NH — Timothy J. Shaw, 33, of Route 105 in Newport Center, VT, was arrested at 8:09 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2017, for theft by unauthorized taking ($1,000 to $1,500) and two counts of simple assault. Officers were sent to Home Depot after approximately seven hang up calls, according to dispatch. Later, police learned that an alleged shoplifting was fighting with loss prevention in a white Honda Accord. Police arrived and arrested Shaw. He refused bail and was held.

Herbert J.V. Muriel, 26, of Lancelot Court in Salem, was arrested at 2:05 a.m. on Jan. 10, 2017, for simple assault, criminal mischief, criminal threatening, and domestic violence-obstructing report of a crime/injury. A woman reported to police that a man had allegedly assaulted a family member but the pair were separated. Muriel was later arrested.

An overdose was reported at 8:18 p.m. on Jan. 9, 2017, on Joseph Road.

Daniel E. Aubrey, 34, of North Main Street in Newton, was arrested at 5:43 p.m. on Jan. 9, 2017, for aggravated DUI, DUI, transporting drugs in a motor vehicle, criminal mischief, open container, and possession of a controlled drug. He was arrested on a warrant.

Nancy E. Desrosiers, 57, of Justin Avenue in Salem, was arrested at 5:02 p.m. on Jan. 9, 2017, for domestic violence-simple assault and false report to law enforcement. Police were sent to the home for a report of a domestic disturbance. The woman was arrested and transported to the Rockingham County Jail for protective custody.

Thomas Blanchette, 32, of Manchester Street in Manchester, was arrested at 12:04 a.m. on Jan. 2, 2017, for willful concealment-third conviction. He was arrested on a warrant, refused bail, and was held.

Steven J. Stefanelli, 20, of Belgrade Street in Manchester, was arrested at 12:20 p.m. on Jan. 1, 2017, for simple assault, criminal mischief, unlawful possession of alcohol, and two counts of resisting arrest or detention. Police and fire and rescue teams were sent to Brookdale Road for a report of an unconscious male. The man, it turned out, was not having an overdose but was reported intoxicated. He was transported to Parkland Medical Center and later, cleared. Stefanelli was charged and held. Back in 2013, he was arrested in Haverhill, MA, charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime.

Stephanie M. Caraccio, 29, of Forest Street in Methuen, MA, was arrested at 1:32 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2016, on five counts of possession of a controlled drug-heroin/crack, less than 1 gram, cocaine, less than half an ounce, three Schedule 1-4 drugs. Police were sent to the Rockingham Mall for a report of an erratic operator on the Macy’s level near Lord & Taylor, possibly with a child in the vehicle. Officers reportedly found the driver slouched over her steering wheel, according to dispatch. Windham Police also assisted at the scene with a search.

Edward R. Allen, 19, of Johnson Street in North Andover, MA, was arrested at 2 a.m. on Dec. 31, 2016, for possession of a controlled drug-marijuana. Two other 17-year-olds were also taken into protective custody. Officers were sent to the Holiday Inn on Keewaydin Drive for a report about a dispute in one of the rooms. An employee said the subjects were part of a wedding party. Police took three into custody. Allen was later released on a summons.

Allana Santana, 19, of Inman Street in Lawrence, MA, was arrested at 2:02 p.m. on Dec. 30, 2016, for simple assault. Police were sent to Dick’s Sporting Goods at the Mall at Rockingham Park for a report of a fight between two females. After investigating the incident, Santana was arrested.

Kenton J. Juliano, 35, of Summer Street in Penacook, was arrested at 1:59 p.m. on Dec. 30, 2016, on a bench warrant. Juliano reportedly came to police to file a hit-and-run complaint about an incident on I-93, according to police. However, he had an active warrant and was arrested. Juliano was arrested on $150 cash bail.
