Cathy Clark, 57, of Fisherville Road in Concord, was arrested at 11:46 p.m. on May 25, 2015, on simple assault and domestic violence-simple assault charges. Police were sent to an apartment on Fisherville Road for a report of a woman locking herself in a bathroom after she had been assaulted. When they arrived, the apartment was dark and quiet. A man opened the door and appeared as if he had been sleeping. A woman, later identified as Clark, came out of a bedroom and told the officer that she was pushed and fell on her knee. She then started talking about being on the deck and the officer asked her to offer “a little more detail” about what happened. Clark reportedly stated she was on the couch and then pushed. The officer asked her to “refocus” several times in order to try and find out exactly what happened but she allegedly was “argumentative and (would) speak over other people while they were talking.” The officer spoke to a second man in the home who stated he didn’t see an assault but the two had been arguing. The officer then spoke to the man who stated that he was lying on the sofa when Clark allegedly came in from outside and started yelling at him. She then allegedly kneed him in the groin and he pushed her away. Clark then fell on the floor and bruised her knee, he alleged. The officer continued to speak with Clark and later, she was arrested. She’s due in court on June 29.
