Lawrence Man Arrested On Simple Assault Charge: Salem Police Log

Litter charge issued against Lawrence man; bag of syringes found; truck crash; and man at workout facility is accused of flashing others.

SALEM, NH — Francisco Santos, 54, of Woodland Street in Lawrence, Massachusetts, was arrested at 8:45 a.m. on Sept. 14, on a simple assault charge. He was arrested at police headquarters.

Henry J. Morel, 24, of Willow Street in Lawrence, MA, was charged at 9:23 p.m. on Sept. 13, 2019, with unlawful activities; litter control. He was charged at police headquarters.

7:51 p.m. on Sept. 14: Police in Plymouth, MA, reported that a resident in that community had purchased a Best Buy Gift Card for $500 and gave the number to another person over the phone but the card was used at the Best Buy in Salem on Sept. 13.

7:38 p.m. on Sept. 14: Papa Gino's on Cluff Crossing Road reported a theft of two pizzas.

5:38 p.m. on Sept. 14: A bag of syringes and needles were reportedly found on Stanley Brook Drive.

12:58 p.m. on Sept. 14: The Sunglass Hut at the Mall at Rockingham Park reported that two men stole around $413 worth of merchandise.

11:50 a.m. on Sept. 14: Police took a report of an indecent exposure accusation against a man at the Work Out Club on Pelham Road. The man was reportedly walking in the pool area and exposed himself. A manager was notified and then, when that person confronted the man, he reportedly exposed himself again. The man then left the area.

9:15 a.m. on Sept. 14: A Lawrence Road resident reported a missing person.

10:55 p.m. on Sept. 13: A Floral Avenue resident reported that someone threw a rubber dog toy from a moving vehicle at her home.

8:33 p.m. on Sept. 13: Officers were sent to an accident at South Broadway and Westchester Street. A vehicle was struck by a tire from a tractor-trailer truck. The truck continued to drive and eventually headed onto I-93. Salem fire and rescue teams took a pregnant woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, to the hospital. Mass. State Police were notified about the truck and it was stopped near Exit 38.
