NHSP: Wrong Way Drunk Driver, Using CellPhone, Busted

Andy Marzara of Lawrence, MA, was arrested this morning allegedly driving south on the northbound side of I-93 in Windham and Salem.

SALEM, NH - Another day, another alleged drunken wrong way driver on a New Hampshire highway.

This time, it was through Windham into Salem, on I-93, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Andy Marzara, 22, of Lawrence, MA, was arrested on Dec. 13, 2015, and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless conduct, disobeying an officer, and use of mobile electronic devices while driving.

Numerous motorists reported to state police that there was a wrong way driver traveling south in the northbound side of I-93 in Windham, according to a report.

A state trooper located the vehicle on I-93 in Salem and positioned his cruiser in the crossover just south of the vehicle’s location. The vehicle was stopped just north of Exit 2, according to the stop.

After the stop, Marzara was arrested.

Two passengers were taken into protective custody due to intoxication.

Marzara is due in court on Jan. 14, 2016.
