Salem Man Receives Prison Time For Robbing 7-Eleven
Mohamed Nwerian was sent to jail for 2 1/2 to 5 years for stealing cash and lottery scratch tickets last year.

SALEM, NH — A local man has pleaded guilty to robbery in Rockingham County Superior Court, according to Salem Police. Mohamed Nwerian, 37, was arrested on Oct. 17, 2017, after a “brazen” early morning robbery at the 7-Eleven on Cluff Crossing Road, according to Capt. Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department. Officers, according to a post on Patch, arrived at the store and spoke to a clerk who stated that a masked man – armed with what appeared to be a long, black pipe – entered the store and demanded money.
Nweiran walked behind the counter, requested the clerk to open the register, took out cash and then, some scratch tickets, and fled the store toward Route 28, the report noted at the time.
Investigators eyed footage and called in a K-9 unit to track the suspect. The track led them to the Brook Village West apartment complex on Cluff Crossing Road. The owner of the complex spoke with police and noted that he had recently fired an employee at the complex. He looked a security footage of the robbery and indicated that the suspect had the same build and characteristics of the former employee, according to investigators.
