Second Annual Farm to Table Dinner Held Oct. 20

The Salem NH Farmers Market event highlights fresh, local, sustainably grown food.

Salem NH Farmers Market (SNHFM) has partnered with award-winning Atkinson Resort and Country Club for its Second Annual Farm to Table Dinner.

The dinner is designed to support the SNHFM’s efforts to expand the availability of fresh, local and sustainably grown food locally. “This unique opportunity features locally-grown foods that are fresh, seasonal and available at our Market,” said Jane Lang, volunteer market manager and chair of the Salem NH Farmers Market board of trustees. “This year we are excited to host this event at the Atkinson Resort and Country Club.”

Susan McLean, SNHFM chef, said, “This is an incredible chance to connect with our local community members at the table. We’re eager to experience what Executive Chef Chun Lee and his team will prepare highlighting ingredients from our market farmers and vendors. This year, each course will be paired with local New Hampshire wines.”

Walter Heinrich, food and beverage director of the Atkinson Resort & Country Club said, “The Club is honored to be partnering with the Salem NH Farmers Market Farm to Table Dinner on Oct. 20. Our philosophy of procuring quality seasonal ingredients, fresh seafood and vegetables from local purveyors aligns with Salem NH Farmers Market and gives us an opportunity to showcase our chefs’ talents within our great facility.”

From appetizers to dessert, dinner guests will enjoy a multi-course meal and have the chance to meet some of the people behind the food, learn all it takes to bring food from farm to table, and enjoy stories that help pair the courses with wine selected by New England native, chef and wine expert Paul Lang of A Casa NYC.

The Annual Farm to Table Dinner is a celebration of our farmers and our community.”
