BEDFORD, NH - A Salem attorney with an extensive history of volunteerism was recently appointed to Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains’ board of directors, according to a press statement.
Marybeth Stramaglia, a longtime attorney for Dell, Inc., assumed her position earlier this year.
A graduate of Suffolk University Law School, Stramaglia spent her childhood years in Andover, MA, where she recalls many fond Girl Scout adventures.

“There were so many good times I remember,” she said. “So when the opportunity to serve on the board presented itself, I naturally jumped on it!”

No stranger to volunteerism, Stramaglia also devotes a great deal of her spare time to Soldier’s Angels, an organization that creates care packages and pen pal matches for deployed military; the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association; and Digital Wish, a Dell initiative to bring laptops to underserved public schools.
As the proud aunt of a Daisy Girl Scout, Stramaglia said she’s honored to be part of an organization that “truly makes a difference in the lives of young girls.” She said she’s particularly excited about the Capitol/Major Gifts Campaign, which seeks to expand and improve GSGWM facilities and opportunities for girls.
“Many of my friends and colleagues went to Girl Scouts Camp when they were younger,” Stramaglia added. “Forty years later, they’re still talking about it.”
