Two from Salem Arrested in UNH Stabbing Incident
Report: Matthew Gibbons and Eric Denning were charged after another student was stabbed this morning.

DURHAM, NH - Two UNH students have been arrested for allegedly being involved in a stabbing incident of another UNH student earlier this morning, according to a report on WMUR-TV and the Foster’s Daily Democrat.
Matthew Gibbons, 20, pictured left, of Dawn Street in Salem, was arrested on Feb. 20, 2016, and charged with first-degree assault. Also arrested was Eric Denning, 21, of Redwood Road in Salem, who was charged with second-degree assault and criminal liability.

According to the report on Fosters.com, police were called to the address for a report of a man who was stabbed by an unknown assailant. EMTs treated the victim and he was transported to Wentworth Douglass Hospital for surgery.
Gibbons and Denning were later arrested and are both being held on cash bail in the Strafford County Jail after an incident on Madbury Drive. The other student was reportedly found with two stab wounds at the address. They will be arraigned on Feb. 22, according to police.
