Water Test Day for Salem Residents Sept. 29
Do you have a private well? You can have your water tested.

The town of Salem, Health Department will be conducting a Water Test Day on Monday, Sept. 29, for owners with private wells.
Residents can choose to have their water tested for a variety of contaminants and minerals such as bacteria, arsenic, nitrates, iron, lead and radon.
A local certified laboratory will conduct the tests at a 20 percent discount and provide free test kits and pick-up service at the Health Department at Town Hall, 33 Geremonty Drive, Salem. Water test kits are now available for residents to pick up.

Residents should collect a sample of their water on the morning of Monday, Sept. 29, and bring the sample to the Health Department at Town Hall on that date along with a check for payment. Samples may be brought to the Health Department any time on Sept. 29, up until 6:30 p.m.
