Edelblut Wins Windham GOP Straw Poll

Wilton state Representative takes nearly 60 percent of the vote of attendees at event on July 14.

WINDHAM, NH – Four of the five gubernatorial candidates hoping to win the Republican nomination in September participated in debate in Windham on July 14, and one walked away with the straw poll win.

State Rep. Frank Edelblut, R-Wilton, received 59 percent of the vote of attendees against state Sen. Jeanie Forrester, R-Meredith, Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas, and Executive Councilor Chris Sununu, R-Salem, according to a press statement.

Jon Lavoie, the fifth candidate on the ballot for Republicans, was not invited to attend.

This straw poll win comes on the heels of Edelblut winning the Coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers picnic straw poll as well as the 603 Alliance endorsement, and the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance endorsement.
