In a statement, Lewandowski said that after “considering multiple opportunities within the administration,” he decided he could best serve the President-Elect “outside the formal structure of government.” He added, “I very much look forward to doing that every day.
Bennett and Lewandowski, he noted, met about two decades ago when they were both working in the House of Representatives.

The firm officially opened today. Additional associates are expected to be added in the near future.
Lewandowski began working for Trump in early 2015, when the billionaire businessman was still toying with the idea of running and was not considered to be a top contender in a field of what was predicted to be as many as 25 candidates. He is credited with organizing and leading one of the biggest political upsets in American history, securing the Republican Party nomination for Trump. During the campaign, Lewandowski caught a lot of flak for style, the "let Trump be Trump" strategy, and was investigated on an assault charge in Florida after a reporter was brushed aside during a scrum and claimed she was assaulted, but the charge was later dropped. Lewandowski parted ways with the campaign in June of this year. He was featured on CNN has a color commentator during the campaign but resigned from the position last month. Lewandowski has regularly been appearing on Fox News since leaving CNN.
