Authorities are investigating the homicide of a 35-year-old resident who was found dead inside a Chester Township home.
Emergency crews and Chester Township police responded to a 911 call at a residence on Pottersville Road during the late afternoon on June 6, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. Police found the victim dead inside the home.

The fire broke out on the third floor of an apartment building on New Willow Street at 9:33 p.m., according to News 12.

Two firefighters were treated for injuries after battling a two-alarm fire on Saturday afternoon at a Ridgefield home, according to media reports.
The fire, located at 96 7th St., was put out and no residents were hurt in the fire, but two firefighters were treated at the hospital for minor injuries, according to News 12.
3-Alarm Fire In Sayreville Closes Local Roads
Firefighters battled a smoky three-alarm inferno at a two-story home in Sayreville on Sunday afternoon, prompting road closures to the local area, according to media reports.
Scott Avenue was closed from Ridgeway Avenue to Lower Main Street in South Amboy due to the fire, NJ.com reported.
Glassboro Pop-Up Party Foiled By NJ Police
Glassboro police said they put a stop to an unpermitted pop-up party being planned on Rowan Boulevard on Saturday, according to NJ.com.
"Let this be a warning to the organizers, should your "party" proceed as planned, you will be charged criminally," police said in a Facebook statement on Saturday. "Glassboro is not a playground and all that live, work and visit our town should be free to enjoy it without having to worry about dodging unnecessary lawlessness."
