2. Advocates are celebrating a victory against "period poverty," as Gov. Murphy signed a law that will require all public schools serving any grade from 6- 12 to offer free menstrual products to their students. The state will reimburse school districts for the cost. (Read more on Patch.)
3. State wildlife officials will continue to investigate the cause of a 1,700-acre blaze that broke out near a recently-shuttered drag way in South Jersey. 4. A massive search for two 5-year-olds ended with the children being found safely, and officials are still investigating what exactly happened. The parents told police that the children were playing in front of their homes, and reported them missing Tuesday evening. (Read more on Patch.)
5. Approximately 1,700 nurses have been on strike for nearly three weeks now, having walked off the job starting Aug. 4. As of Wednesday, neither they nor Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital administration appear close to reaching an agreement.
