It's Not A Cone Of Shame: NJ Bear With Chicken Feeder Stuck To Head Gets Rescued (PICS)
While the bear may have a future career modeling headwear, wildlife officials removed the plastic feeder from her head.
SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ — Forget picnic baskets and honey pots. A bear with a chicken feeder stuck to her head got rescued and released Monday in Sussex County.
The black bear had been spotted around Sussex County, but wildlife officials trapped the 89-pound yearling Monday morning in the general area of the Bear Swamp Wildlife Management Area.
Biologists from Division of Fish and Wildlife temporarily tranquilized the bear. Then they removed the chicken feeder from her head, according to Larry Hajna, a spokesperson for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, which includes New Jersey Fish and Wildlife.

"It appeared unharmed and healthy and was released into a wooded area," Hajna said.
