These Are The 25 Best Places To Live In NJ, New Ranking Says

NEW JERSEY — Good schools, neighborhood safety, quality housing, and nearby amenities are all important when it comes to selecting where to live. In New Jersey, there are literally hundreds of options for communities that you can settle down in.

The review site Niche recently released its 2023 Best Places To Live in America rankings, which includes five Garden State communities (more on that below).

Niche also lists the top communities to live in by state, with updated ratings for public schools, housing, diversity, nightlife, crime and safety, and how good the neighborhood is for families.

Here are the top 25 places to live in New Jersey, all with an overall A+ rating, according to Niche:

7. Berkeley Heights Township
8. Harrington Park
9. Mountain Lakes

17. Hoboken
18. Short Hills
19. Plainsboro Center

The Best Places To Live in America list, now in its ninth year, included the top five New Jersey communities as well.

Niche used Census Bureau and FBI data to compile the list, which is intended to help everyone from young professionals to retirees decide where they want to live.
