These are the best places to live in New Jersey, according to an updated ranking:
NEW JERSEY — Good schools, neighborhood safety, quality housing, and nearby amenities are all important when it comes to selecting where to live. In New Jersey, there are literally hundreds of options for communities that you can settle down in.
The review site Niche recently released its 2023 Best Places To Live in America rankings, which includes five Garden State communities (more on that below).
Niche also lists the top communities to live in by state, with updated ratings for public schools, housing, diversity, nightlife, crime and safety, and how good the neighborhood is for families.

Niche used Census Bureau and FBI data to compile the list, which is intended to help everyone from young professionals to retirees decide where they want to live.
