Nude Photos, 7,500 Pages Of Messages Uncovered In Student, Teacher Assault Case In NJ
On Thursday, a judge denied Fisler's request for release.

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — A judge denied the bail release request of a former Orchard Valley Middle School teacher on Thursday after she was accused of sexually assaulting her former student.
New details, including thousands of messages that covered years of interactions between the teacher and teen boy, also came to light on Wednesday during a virtual hearing.
Ashley A. Fisler, 36, of Sewell, allegedly had sex at least four times with her then student and was charged with six counts of first-degree sexual assault of a minor, one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of second-degree official misconduct.

"A person who has maintained and allegedly groomed a boy over a period of at least five years could have a substantial influence over him if perhaps she were to communicate with him," Judge William Ziegler said in his decision to deny her release.
In court on Wednesday, a collection of 7,500 pages of text messages, including many that were explicit in nature, were presented that spanned from the start of the alleged assault in 2021 through January, according to NJ Advance Media.

The messages, which continued well beyond the last alleged assault in 2022, were "selective, salacious texts that...lack context," said defense attorney Rocco Cipparone.
In an affidavit of probable cause obtained by Patch, a Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office High Tech Crimes Unit forensic analysis uncovered multiple nude photographs of Fisler that were sent to the alleged victim.
On Jan. 23, the now-adult victim revealed the sexual relationship with Fisler that occurred in 2021 when he was still a minor and Fisler was his teacher.
The alleged sexual encounters happened in her car and in her classroom.
Fisler is no longer employed as a teacher within Washington Township or anywhere else.
She faces a maximum of 20 years in state prison for each of the first-degree charges and a maximum of 10 years for each of the second-degree charges.
Fisler can appeal the detention ruling within a week and is due to return to court for a pre-indictment conference on May 14.
Prosecutor Kylie Finley, according to Court TV, suggested on Wednesday that there may be others who were also assaulted after a family reported inappropriate communications between Fisler and another one of her students. The alleged victim also reported a potential third student being involved.
