Missing Woman Found Dead After 3-Alarm House Fire In Somerset County

A woman, initially missing after a three-alarm fire in South Bound Brook, has since been found dead in the home, said authorities.

On Friday at 3:46 a.m., South Bound Brook Fire Department and South Bound Brook Police responded to a 911 call reporting a house fire on Howard Avenue, said Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald.

33 Residents Homeless After 3-Alarm Fire In Paterson

A three-alarm fire broke out in a Paterson apartment building Friday night on East 16th Street, according to media reports.

According to News 12, 33 residents were displaced in the fire after the inferno spread from the apartment building to two neighboring homes.

4 Injured In Newark House Fire

Two adults, a child and an off-duty firefighter were injured on Saturday morning in a house fire in Newark, according to media reports.

The fire broke out around 6:53 a.m. on Weequahic Avenue, NJ.com reports.

3 Killed After Plane Taking Off From NJ Crashes: Police

Three people died after a plane that took off from Ocean City crashed in a wooded area of Maryland, authorities said.

It was about 11:30 p.m. Saturday when a single-engine Piper Cherokee with a pilot and two passengers on board were en route to Montgomery County, PA, when, for reasons unknown at this time, the plane crashed into a wooded area in Bowie, police said. There were no other injuries reported.

Newark Hit-And-Run Kills 2

Two women were killed in a hit-and-run in Newark on Saturday night, according to media reports.

The driver hit the women around 11 p.m. at the intersection of Park Avenue and North 7th Street and then fled the scene, NJ.com reported.

NJ Man Kills 2 Teens, Flees Scene Of Delaware Crash, Police Say

A 23-year-old man from New Jersey was arrested after a deadly crash involving a boy and a girl walking down Dupont Parkway, Delaware State Police said.

Nizaiah Ellis, of Newfield, was charged with two counts of leaving the scene of a collision resulting in death and one count of failure to report a collision resulting in death.
