Rounds Of Storms Target NJ This Week: See Details

Following severe thunderstorms that blanketed parts of New Jersey over the weekend, Garden State residents should brace for another round of storms forecast throughout the rest of the week.

While New Jerseyans will experience sunny skies and temperatures in the high 70s to low 80s on Monday and Tuesday, the National Weather Service is predicting a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday.

This will be followed by showers throughout the day on Thursday and Friday, with temperatures mainly in the 80s.

On Saturday, sunny skies are expected to return to the Garden State with temperatures in the mid-80s to low 90s and remain throughout Sunday.

Ahead of storms expected in the middle of the week, the National Weather Service has also issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for parts of New Jersey from 8 p.m. on Monday until 2 a.m. on Tuesday.

This advisory means that minor tidal flooding is expected, which often results in some road closures, the weather service said.

While this advisory is in place, forecasters are advising residents not to leave their vehicle in a location prone to flooding and not to drive through flood waters.

North Jersey

• Monday: Sunny, with a high near 82. Northwest wind 10-14 MPH.
