Ramon Luis Acevedo shot a woman in the head Saturday morning inside a home on Paulsboro's Elizabeth Avenue, authorities said. Acevedo then shot a minor, who fled the home, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.

A New Brunswick man was hit by a car and killed while crossing Route 9 in Old Bridge early Saturday morning, according to media reports.

According to NJ.com, Davon Porter, 30, attempted to cross the road around 1:25 a.m. on Saturday when he was hit.

Man Dies In Wrong-Way NJ Turnpike Crash In Bergen County

A wrong-way driver died in a crash on the NJ Turnpike shortly before 3 a.m. on Saturday, police said.

Bruce Canfield, 44, from Pottstown, Pa., was traveling south in the northbound lanes on the Turnpike in Ridgefield Park when he crashed into a sedan, said State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.

Injured Dog Rescued After 26-Mile Trek Along NJ Turnpike

An injured 9-year-old dog named Abbie was rescued Sunday morning along the New Jersey Turnpike, 26 miles from the Joyce Kilmer rest stop, where she escaped from a car, according to media reports.

News12 reported that Abbie was located along the highway by police using advanced thermal imaging drones and taken to a local animal hospital for an injured hind leg.

MLB Prospect Airlifted From Crash Near His South Jersey Home: Officials

An MLB prospect from South Jersey was seriously injured in a crash Friday night near his South Jersey home.

Frank Cairone, a Milwaukee Brewers minor leaguer, was involved in a crash in Franklin Township, Gloucester County. He was airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, according to Police Chief Matt DeCesari.
