The 50 Top Pizza guides are based on the reports of anonymous inspectors who evaluate the best pizza restaurants in the U.S. and around the world.

Rankings are based on the pizzeria as a whole — not just the pizza or the chef. Inspectors consider the quality and digestibility of the pizza, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, how the wait is handled, and the wine, beer and beverage program.
