County-By-County Breakdown Of The Cheapest Gas In New Jersey

As chaos, turmoil, and uncertainty loom in the Middle East, United States residents are beginning to see its effects in their everyday lives, including those in the Garden State.

According to AAA, the national average gas price has reached more than $4 per gallon for the first time in four years. With the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital chokepoint for oil distribution, crude oil prices have exceeded $100 per barrel, increasing gasoline prices.

Prices in the western US seem to be hit the hardest, with California’s gas price average nearing $6 a gallon.

Here in New Jersey, where it's pumped for us, gas prices are averaging about $4.07 per gallon as of Friday afternoon, slightly lower than the national average of $4.15.
