• Asbury Park Author Kelly Walker Edwards Takes Her Story to iHeartMedia's 'Building Black Biz' (TAPinto.net) — An Asbury Park native author is taking stories of the city's West Side and her family's local history to a national audience through iHeartMedia's "Building Black Biz" podcast. Kelly Walker Edwards, an Asbury Park High School graduate, has self-published eight books, many rooted in neighborhood memories that document Black life at the Jersey Shore and preserve a vital part of the city's past.

• NJ Lottery launches Jersey Legend scratch-offs with Jon Bon Jovi (app.com) — Asbury Park residents can look forward to a future JBJ Soul Kitchen at the Mercy Center's new Main Street headquarters, thanks in part to proceeds from the New Jersey Lottery's new "Jersey Legend" Jon Bon Jovi scratch-offs. While the launch event took place in Red Bank, city officials have already amended a local redevelopment plan to allow the restaurant, which will expand food support services in the neighborhood.
