Atlantic City woman held on gun charge while on pretrial release (breakingac.com) — An Atlantic City woman previously released on robbery and drug charges is now being held in jail after police say they found a handgun on her during surveillance along Pacific Avenue. A judge cited her new gun charge, prior conditions barring firearms, and ongoing drug issues in deciding to detain her, though her evaluation for Recovery Court is still expected to proceed. 
2. Woman Found Dead: Atlantic City, NJ, Death Investigation Underway (973espn.com) — Authorities are investigating the death of a 41-year-old woman found unresponsive in a hotel room at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City early Wednesday morning. Atlantic City Police and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office are seeking tips from anyone who may have information, and residents can share details by phone or anonymously through the prosecutor's online tip form.
3. Pedestrian critically injured in Margate crash (breakingac.com) — An 89-year-old Margate woman is in critical but stable condition after being struck in a crosswalk, then rushed to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus in Atlantic City for treatment. Police say the 84-year-old driver stayed at the scene, and no summonses have been issued yet as the investigation by Margate officers continues.
4. Wildwoods Announce 2026 Airshow Lineup, Free Public Viewing (patch.com) — An upcoming Wildwoods Airshow this September will feature an F-16 flyby from the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey Air National Guard, which is based in Atlantic City. While the free show happens over the Wildwoods beaches and boardwalk, it highlights a key Atlantic City military unit and offers another shore attraction residents may want to plan a daytrip around.
