• Five local towns among those to share $9 million in county grants (themonmouthjournaleastern.com) — Atlantic Highlands will receive $350,000 from Monmouth County's Municipal Open Space Grant program to upgrade recreation infrastructure at East Avenue Park. The funding is part of a $9.15 million countywide package aimed at improving local parks, ballfields, and green spaces in 27 municipalities, including nearby Highlands, Little Silver, Monmouth Beach, and Red Bank.
