1 Airlifted From Harvey Cedars Sunset Park
Police said a trauma patient required a medevac Saturday from the park in Harvey Cedars.
HARVEY CEDARS, NJ — One person was airlifted from Harvey Cedars Sunset Park Saturday afternoon.
A Patch editor saw the New Jersey State Trooper helicopter land at Harvey Cedars Sunset Park around 3 p.m.
Members of the High Point Volunteer Fire Company and the Harvey Cedars Police Department were part of the emergency response.

Harvey Cedars police told Patch to contact the Long Beach police for information, as the incident that resulted in the injury occurred in the Loveladies section of the township, according to Chief Robert Burnaford.

The victim was described by the Harvey Cedars Police Department as a trauma patient.

For about 20 minutes, the helicopter was on the ground as first responders prepared the patient to be transported.
The Long Beach Township Police Department and High Point Volunteer Fire Company did not immediately respond to a request from Patch for comment.
