BARNEGAT, NJ — Two people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle accident Sunday night on Nautilus Drive, police said. None of the injuries were life-threatening, said Barnegat police Lieutenant Jeffrey Ryan.
The crash occurred near Harpoon Drive at 10:04 p.m. Sunday, police said. The driver of a black 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee left their lane while driving south, striking a blue 2014 Nissan Sentra that was going north, according to Ryan.
Both people in the Sentra were injured. The driver, a 47-year-old Barnegat man, sustained a compound fracture in his leg, Ryan said. The passenger, a 67-year-old Clifton woman, suffered chest pain and broke her ankle, according to police. Neither had their seatbelt on, Ryan said.
