3 Vehicles Stolen In Surf City, Audi Still Missing

All three cars were left unlocked with the keys accessible, police said.

SURF CITY, NJ — Three vehicles were stolen overnight Wednesday in Surf City, according to police. All three vehicles were left unlocked with the keys accessible.

Police recovered two of the cars Thursday, within a few hours of victims reporting them stolen. But Surf City police are still looking for the Audi convertible.

Surf City police recovered the BMW SUV in town, while Newark Police found the Dodge Durango in their city.

For the second day in a row Thursday, Surf City police also received multiple calls for vehicle burglaries. Surf City PD and other Long Beach Island police departments reminded people to keep their doors locked. Read more: Multiple Cars Burglarized On Long Beach Island

Surf City police asked that homeowners on the 300 and 400 blocks between N. 1st Street and N. 4th Street check their smart doorbells or any other security cameras for suspicious activity between 3-6 a.m. If you have any footage, you can contact Sgt. Roe or Sgt. Rice at 609-494-8121.
