Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation to Hold Second Annual Ability Fair
Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation will hold its second annual Ability Fair on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stockton University Campus Center in Galloway, New Jersey. Sponsors include gold sponsor Mobility 123 and breakfast sponsor Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals.
The Ability Fair will showcase more than 60 vendors, offering products and services designed to help seniors and individuals with physical challenges lead more mobile and fulfilling lives. The event’s master of ceremonies is Michael Braxton, Atlantic City Police Department Community Relations Officer and Rio 2016 Paralympic hopeful.
Vendors will answer questions and provide live demonstrations of some of their top products, including power wheelchairs, ramps, home remodeling, accessible cars and assistive devices. Some of this year’s vendors include Bioness, Tobii Dynavox, Quantum Rehab, Coloplast and ReWalk, who will have a seasoned ReWalker demonstrate their Exoskeleton.

Bacharach is looking forward to building on last year’s success. In 2015, the Ability Fair brought together nearly 500 people, a number that is expected to grow in its second year. While many of the same vendors from last year will be returning, there will also be many new vendors, including Quality Electric Service, Tyromotion Advanced Rehab Technology and RK Rehab Sales featuring ROWHEELS.
Several guest speakers will be in the Campus Center Theatre, presented by Faces 4 Autism, including two well-known autism bloggers: Jerry Turning, “Bacon and Juice Boxes: Our Life with Autism” and Eileen Carmody Shaklee, “Autism with a Side of Fries.” There will be an inclusive dance performance from Happy Hearts Dance Camp, a therapy horse from Hearts Therapeutic Riding Center and Lucy, the world record holder for the smallest therapy dog, will be attending again this year.
