Barnegat House Fire Was Set By Resident: Prosecutor
Lisa Ziobro intentionally lit two fires at her house on Waterfall Lane Tuesday morning, officials said. She received multiple arson charges.
BARNEGAT, NJ — Tuesday's morning house fire in Barnegat was determined to be intentionally set by one of the home's residents, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
Lisa Ziobro, 44, was charged with two counts of aggravated arson and four counts of arson in relation to the March 21 fire, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
The structure fire on Waterfall Lane in the Mirage section of Barnegat was reported around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, officials previously said. Read more: Morning House Fire Extinguished In Barnegat

Firefighters spent two hours extinguishing the fire. The family dog was rescued and unharmed, but a pet bird was killed in the fire, Billhimer said.
Two separate fires were intentionally set in the house, an investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Major Crime Unit-Arson Squad, Ocean County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, Barnegat Township Police Department Detective Bureau, and Ocean County Fire Marshal's Office determined.

The first was set on a mattress in a bedroom, while the second was set on a shower curtain in the bathroom, Billhimer said.
Further investigation found that Ziobro set both fires, Billhimer said. It was not immediately clear why she set the fires.
Ziobro was taken to Ocean County Jail, where she remains lodged pending a detention hearing, Billhimer said.
