Barnegat Man Charged With Distributing Cocaine: Prosecutor
Detectives found 22 grams of cocaine in a vehicle the man used, according to the Ocean County prosecutor.

BARNEGAT, NJ — A Barnegat man was charged with distributing cocaine, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office announced Thursday. Detectives found 22 grams of cocaine inside a vehicle Quamel Peteete used, the OCPO said.
The OCPO and Barnegat police identified a home they thought was being used for storing and distributing cocaine. As a result, officials executed a search warrant Monday on a vehicle Peteete used, the OCPO said.
Detectives found 22 grams of cocaine, an undisclosed amount of Suboxone tablets and a small amount of marijuana, the OCPO said. Suboxone is a prescription drug.

Peteete, 28, was charged with possessing more than half an ounce of cocaine with intent to distribute, cocaine possession, Suboxone possession and marijuana possession, the OCPO said. Authorities put him in Ocean County Jail.
