BARNEGAT, NJ — A Barnegat man was one of four people indicted this week in a strict-liability drug-induced death that occurred in January, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

A grand jury sitting in Ocean County indicted Curtis M. Geathers, 33, of Barnegat; Michael M. Tiedemann, 45, of Toms River; and Tiffany R. Coger, 35, of Seaside Heights with distributing a combination drug packaged in wax folds containing heroin and fentanyl to an individual between January 9th and 10th, according to the OCPO.

The ingestion of the drug resulted in the person's death, according to the OCPO.

Darnell D. Williams, 36, of Jackson, was the fourth person indicted. He was charged in the investigation with distributing cocaine, the OCPO said. The OCPO has not criminally connected him with the victim's death.

Geathers and Williams are in Ocean County Jail. Authorities issued an indictment warrant for the arrests of Tiedemann and Coger.

"This was a collaborative effort on the part of my office and many of our local police departments," said Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. "We are all committed to sharing our intelligence to make sure we put these drug dealers on notice; Ocean County is not the place to pedal your illegal and dangerous narcotics.”
