Barnegat Police Department Nets Another Accomplishment

BARNEGAT, NJ — The Barnegat Township Police Department is adding to its list of accomplishments with an officer's recent graduation from an innovative and high-caliber course.

Sgt. Nicholas Venuto graduated from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJASCOP) Command & Leadership Academy, the police department announced.

"This significant accomplishment reflects not only on Sergeant Venuto's dedication and hard work, but also on the exemplary standards upheld by our police department," the department wrote.

According to the NJASCOP website, the academy is an "intensive, demanding course" and offers a "unique blend of theory and application."

"For a program of this caliber, law enforcement professionals who are selected make more than a casual commitment," NJASCOP said.

"Sergeant Venuto's completion of the NJSACOP Command & Leadership Academy signifies a desire to excel in leadership," Barnegat police said. "We are confident that Sergeant Venuto will bring the skills, knowledge, and leadership qualities gained from the academy to enhance the overall effectiveness of our police force."

Police congratulated Venuto on a "well-deserved achievement."

"We look forward to witnessing the positive impact his leadership will undoubtedly have on our police department," police said.
