Delta Airlines: A Disgrace to American Heroes

Airline is charging soldiers for luggage on their way home from war.

I usually do not like to write blogs that slam people, but this one has me heated more than the temperature outside.

I just learned that Delta is now charging our brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces for their luggage when they are on the way home from the war front. According to a recent report I just read, they charged one hero coming home from Afghanistan $200 for his luggage. This is a total disgrace.

I contacted the president of Delta, Edward Bastian, about the issue. I was told that everyone has to pay for checked luggage. I told them this is an American hero and I was brushed off. I then asked to speak with Richard H. Anderson, the CEO and was denied. I think that all reading this need to call Delta and express your disgust over the disgrace and disrespect of our heroes coming home from the war front – while in uniform mind you. Their number is 404-715-2554.

I decided to investigate further. I called American, Continental, United, Southwest, and none of them charge our military for their luggage.

Delta Airlines should be ashamed of themselves and we as Americans that enjoy our freedoms, which we have because of our Armed Forces, should call Delta upper management. I also am asking that you please repost this on any social networks and email it to your friends.

Thank you, and God bless.
