STAFFORD, NJ — The Township Council is honoring the Friends of the Stafford Library ahead of "Friends of the Libraries Week."

A proclamation was issued declaring Oct. 16 through 22 Friends of the Libraries Week in Stafford, honoring the work that the Friends have done in town.

"Friends of the Ocean County Library Stafford Branch raise money that enables our library to move from good to great, providing the resources for additional programming, much-needed equipment, support for children's summer reading and special events throughout the year," Mayor Greg Myhre read from the proclamation at a recent Township Council meeting, which was presented to the group's treasurer Barbara Liberti on behalf of President Nora DeRosa.
