Gunpoint Robbery Sends Little Egg Harbor Man To State Prison
Marc Manfredonia was sentenced to prison for his role in the 2023 robbery; his accomplice is charged with attempted murder.
LITTLE EGG HARBOR, NJ — A Little Egg Harbor man was sentenced to New Jersey State Prison for his role in a 2023 robbery in the township where he and an accomplice demanded money from a man and then shot him when he refused to give them more.
Marc Manfredonia, 33, will spend 10 years in prison for his guilty plea to robbery in connection with the Sept. 9, 2023 incident, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said Monday. This sentence will be subject to the terms of the No Early Release Act, meaning that Manfredonia will be required to serve at least 85 percent of his prison sentence before he may be considered for parole eligibility.
Attempted murder charges against his accomplice, Christopher Miller, 36, of Paterson, remain pending.

At about 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 9. Little Egg Harbor police were called to a home on East Hudson Drive for reports of gunshots, Billhimer said.
Police found a 36-year-old man, who was not identified by officials, who had sustained "multiple gunshot wounds," Billhimer said. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona where he was treated and then released.

The victim had visited Manfredonia and Christopher Miller, 36, of Paterson in the early hours of Sept. 9 (both of whom he was acquainted with) where they were staying on East Hudson Drive, Billhimer said.
Shortly after, the two physically forced the man out of the home and demanded money from him, Billhimer said. Miller brandished a handgun, and told the man he would shoot him if he didn't send him money through a mobile cash application, Billhimer said.
The victim made two transactions to Miller and Manfredonia through the app, Billhimer said, but the two demanded more money.
The man refused, causing a physical fight.
Miller fired four gunshots, striking the victim in the leg, groin and ear, Billhimer said. Miller and Manfredonia continued to physically assault him before going back inside the house, Billhimer said.
The man then ran to a neighboring residence where he called the police, Billhimer said.
Miller and Manfredonia were taken into custody without incident and were taken to Ocean County Jail then released due to bail reform.
Miller's charges of attempted murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon remain pending.
