'Hooked On Fishing, Not Drugs' Derby Returns To Manahawkin
Kids can compete in the 20th annual fishing derby at Manahawkin Lake Park in August.
MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Kids can show that they are "Hooked on Fishing - Not Drugs" when this annual derby returns to Manahawkin.
On Aug. 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., kids under 15 can compete in the 20th annual derby, sponsored by the Stafford Township Municipal Alliance, Stafford Township Police Department and Stafford Township Animal Control. Refreshments will be provided. The event will be held at Manahawkin Lake, North Lakeshore Drive.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Fishing will be restricted to the shore. No boats are allowed due to insurance restrictions. Competitors must bring their own fishing equipment.
