Intoxicated Woman Strolls Down Little Egg Street With 3-Foot Machete
Juanita Cerbone is lodged in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $10,000 bail.

LITTLE EGG HARBOR - Chances are you wouldn't want to mess with Juanita Cerbone.
Police arrested the 53-year-old woman about 6:15 p.m. on Sunday after they spotted Cerbone walking down Snead Court in the Mystic Island section of the township toting a three-foot long machete, according to app.com.
Patrolman Brian Smith pulled his gun and ordered her to drop the machete, Officer Chris Arciniegas said.

Cerbone ignored Smith's command and moved toward Smith while still holding the machete, police said. Officers said she appeared to be visibly intoxicated.
Arciniegas and Officer John Kelly arrived at the scene and Cerbone dropped the machete, police said. She struggled briefly while they placed her under arrest, according to the news release.

Cerbone was charged with with obstruction, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
She was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $10,000.
