LBI's Paint A Pot Severely Damaged; Owner Holds Online Fundraiser
Paint a Pot is closed until further notice because of a plumbing disaster. The owner is selling merchandise online to stay in business.

LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ — Amanda Klinger has faced adversity before. She began to go deaf the year she opened Paint a Pot in 1999. After Superstorm Sandy struck, the store recovered and reopened in 2013.
Now the Paint a Pot owner feels like she's reliving Sandy. Klinger's Long Beach Island business was severely damaged last month in a plumbing disaster. Paint a Pot is closed until further notice, and Klinger created an online-sales initiative to stay afloat.
"These past couple years, I had finally started to get back on track from the recovery of Hurricane Sandy," Klinger wrote. "Well, a new obstacle has appeared & I need your help!"

Paint a Pot is typically open year-round at 2807 Long Beach Blvd. The business lets customers paint and stylize a piece of pottery that they choose.
Klinger is selling shirts and hoodies online. The clothing features her "Silent Voice" painting on the front and the painting's meaning on the back.
