11 AM CRIME + PUNISHMENT |
Amidst a landmark class-action lawsuit over illegal policing quotas,
CRIME + PUNISHMENT intimately observes the real lives and struggles of a
group of black and Latino whistleblower cops known as “The NYPD 12” and
the young minorities they are pressured to arrest and summons in New
York City. Over four years of unprecedented access, the film
cinematically exposes the interconnected stories of systemic injustice
in New York City. (Documentary Competition)

1:15-EASY

EASY, short for Isidoro, a former race car driver, is given a new job

far from the racing circuits: taking a coffin, with the body of an
Ukrainian bricklayer, from Italy to a small mountain village in Ukraine.
Expected to Attend: Director Andrea Magnani. (SPOTLIGHT FILM)

LOSER LEAVES TOWN |
Jose, an 11-year-old 'luchador,' retreats into a fantasy world when he
encounters a tough 12-year-old girl. Shot entirely on LBI and in
Manahawkin.
3:30 PM THE KING | Forty years after Elvis' death, two-time Sundance winning director

Eugene Jarecki takes the King’s 1963 Rolls-Royce on a musical road trip
across America.

From Memphis to NYC, Vegas, and beyond, the journey
traces the rise and fall of Elvis as a metaphor for the country he left
behind. A diverse cast, both famous and non,
join the journey, including Alec Baldwin, Rosanne Cash, Chuck D,
Emmylou Harris, Ethan Hawke, Van Jones, Mike Myers, and Dan Rather,
among many others. (SPOTLIGHT FILM)

5:30 PM-PIANO |

Filmed in Ship Bottom, Piano tells the story of a piano technician
arrives at a house for a scheduled tuning at a fateful moment.

DON'T FORGET ME |
Tom’s doctor at the Eating Disorder Unit where she is committed says
that she is getting better. The thought of getting healthy and heavy
scares the heck out of her, perhaps the worst day of her life. And then
Tom meets Neil a socially awkward tuba player. Best Film, Best Actor and
Best Actress at the Torino International Film Festival, (NARRATIVE
COMPETITION)

8 PM THE WORLD BEFORE YOUR FEET
For six years, Matt Green's personal quest is to walk every block of
every NYC street – a journey of more than 8,000 miles that takes him
through hundreds of neighborhoods. He quits his engineering job, gives
up his apartment, and discards most of his possessions, now
couch-surfing on about $15 per day. While he has devoted years of his
life to this endeavor, Matt isn't sure why he's doing it. He isn’t
writing a book or hoping to become a tour guide. From director Jeremy
Workman and executive producer Jesse Eisenberg comes a film culled from
more than 500 hours of footage shot over three years. Attending:
Director Jeremy Workman, subject Matt Green (DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION)
